We are in a very large RV park across the street from the sea. The bridge right next to the RV park is being rebuilt from a flood last fall and so there is absolutely no traffic. This is the quietest place that we have been in 3 months. A lot of RV’s are arriving each afternoon just to stay a night or two and then leave very early in the morning for the US border. It’s 250 miles to Nogales but we have been told over and over not to use that border crossing because of congestion and delays. So, we are driving 350 miles on Friday to the border crossing at Lukeville, AZ. That’s if we do okay at the dentist tomorrow. We both have appointments for a checkup and cleaning at $48 each.
Today we walked 1/2 way to the marina before catching a bus and then walked the whole way back. Probably about 6 miles total of walking. There were so many last minute errands such as getting some prescription medicine that we should have bought in Mazatlan because it was less there. But we still saved a lot. Bought 3 pounds of smoked yellow fin tuna from a fish vendor. We had some the other night when we had a potluck with friends and it was so good that buying some to take back and share with family was a must. We also had rock lobster and shrimp plus other goodies at the potluck. Our friends left the next morning for Alamos and Mazatlan and I know they’re having a nice time.
