The Grand Canyon

A big part of my life has been spent in Colorado, but I had never been to the Grand Canyon because it wasn’t much of a priority.  Actually, I always wondered what the big deal was.  Having seen it, now I know.  I’m almost tempted to not post pictures because they can’t possibly come close to how incredible the canyon is.

It was nice to find out there are two RV parks at the canyon because we thought we would have to commute to Williams, about 60 miles away.  One of the RV parks is run by a private company, has hookups, but costs $34 a night.  We stayed at Mather campground which has over 300 sites but no hookups for $18.  There were many more tents than RV’s and it was down in the low 20’s at night.
