Along The Viking Trail

We are stopped along side the road in Flowers Cove for a quick lunch break. This is our view at the moment. IMG_4724 About 70 miles more and we will be at the most northern part of Newfoundland.  The weather is great  but it’s supposed to be rainy the next few days.  You would think that this far north would be pretty cold but it’s not.  60’s in the day and 50’s last night.  Speaking of last night, the sunset was so pretty.  Even though we didn’t have a front row seat, here is a picture. IMG_4700 We’re hoping to see the northern lights tonight since I believe we are far enough north now.  A few miles back we turned into St. Barbe.  This is the town that has a ferry port for the 2 hour ride over to Labrador.  Several RV’s were waiting in the small RV park.  Here are a few more pictures from our drive so far today.

We are seeing hundred and hundred of cords of wood along the road and wonder if it’s free for all the citizens in the area
