As we got closer to Colorado it became very windy.  Steve decided to take a short cut on a two lane road but the ranchers were burning the fields.  We turned around and backtracked after going about 20 miles because the wind and bad air was impossible to deal with.  At one point a gust hit the side of the RV so hard that we were knocked several feet out of our lane.  The sky was very interesting to look at as we drove into Colorado Springs.  We arrived safely at my mother’s and we’re eating good.  Too good!
