It’s been a busy day and I’m just now having time to sit down to the computer. I didn’t get much accomplished when we arrived yesterday and went to bed before 7. I finished hooking up today and then had help from several people putting out the awning and awning shade. Contessa and Colin were so nice to gift me a strand of lights and Lynne with her height put them up for me. I only managed one short walk on the beach and took a few quick pictures. These will have to do for now.
The Tres Amigo RV Park is in the southern part of Mazatlan on a peninsula referred to as Stone Island or Isla de la Piedra. The drive to this part of the peninsula takes almost an hour from the highway as the road is washboard gravel but so very worth the trek. Our part of the RV park is called RV 1 and has about 16 spaces. The owner currently has a special of $350 per month for non-front row sites. That is a fantastic bargain for the western coast of Mexico. Electricity is extra and internet is $15 per month. The electricity is very good in this park as opposed to many others where the voltage is too high.
The hill you see on the left is part of main Mazatlan and is on the other side of the harbor. Everyone takes a taxi boat across rather than make the long drive.
There is an open air restaurant next door
The front row sites are occupied by mostly returning RVers that stay the entire winter. With the exception of Lynne and I, all the residents in RV1 are Canadian.
The other portion of the park is called RV 2 and is located to the left of the restaurant and a small hotel. It is larger and has more spaces.
That looks like a nice, big beach. How's the water?
