The temperatures here are so nice compared to the weather farther north. The first thing we did upon arriving at my long time friend Rita’s house was take a walk around her tiny subdivision of patio homes. Rita has been telling us about a house for sale because she thinks we should move here! Actually, San Antonio would be my second (affordable) choice after where we live now. There’s been no freeze yet so the foliage is green and flowers are still in bloom.
The famous San Antonio Riverwalk has been extended to the old Pearl Brewery and we walked from the brewery to the downtown portion – close to two miles possibly. The Riverwalk has been lit up for Christmas and there are throngs of people enjoying the magical scenery. I could stay downtown for hours every day that we are here but Rita said that tomorrow the river is going to start being drained for it’s yearly cleanup.
There are so many beautiful water features on the Riverwalk

I love this blog! I am currently looking for a place downtown San Antonio, for me and my boyfriend to get married. We are expecting a child in June 2012 and are looking for a perfect spot, for our not so perfect situation. We live in SA, but don't really spend a lot of time downtown, if you can please tell me where you took the picture of that amazing waterfall. It was the 2nd for the last picture! I hope you can remember. Please get back with me…. bdavistexas@gmail.com
